Welcome to Buxton Eye Center - Carl E Gullbrand OD
Dr. Gullbrand graduated from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, in 1985.
While at school he did a brief internship at Joslin Diabetes Center located at Deaconess Hospital in Boston. From 1985 to 89 he served as a Captain in the Army at Fort Riley, KS. Part of that time in the 701st Support Battalion of the 1st Infantry Division and then at Cutler Army Hospital.
He opened his practice in Buxton in May 1991 in Dr. Larabee's building located near Tory Hill. In 1996 he moved to his present location. Judy Bishop Burns has been working as an Optician for over twenty years. She started with Lenscrafters in the 1980's and has worked for other optometrists in the Greater Portland area. She has been at Buxton Eye Center for over 7 years.
We do comprehensive eye exams, diabetic eye exams, contact lens fittings and treat minor eye injuries or eye infections. (Dr. Gullbrand can write prescriptions for eye drops and oral medications.)
